Katy has spent three decades in nonprofit management. She received her Masters Degree in Arts and Cultural Management from Pratt Institute and has worked in multiple sectors including the arts, environment, special populations, education and social services. Katy has led numerous nonprofit organizations and Boards of Directors along the East Coast to increase program effectiveness and financial capacity.
A lifelong learner, with a passion for education, Katy continues to refine her professional skills, rooted in a commitment to best ethical practices and visualized through a progressive lens. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive® and 21/64 Certified Advisor, engaging philanthropists in conversation at the intersection of values and governance.

Being on our board presents a special, unique opportunity as we are committed to teaching our people how to be effective board members. This is a perfect opportunity for someone’s first board member role, to learn responsibilities and best practices, and go onward to other organizations with experience and knowledge.

Katy is passionate about education and believes that big change starts with small steps.
She is currently the managing partner at Calloway Stern Group, a nonprofit consulting and project management firm based in Charleston, SC.
Katy started People In Partnership in 2018, after recognizing that there are too many nonprofits, duplicating services and competing for resources.

Theresa Van De Veere is a 25-year marketing veteran and servant leader who has spent the past decade helping nonprofits, churches, and other social good organizations grow through technology.
She’s worked alongside philanthropic and community-focused clients at companies like Blackbaud & Ministry Brands to amplify the work they care about most. With deep experience in go-to-market strategy, digital engagement, and brand building, she helps organizations gain momentum, engage supporters, and move their missions forward.
Theresa lives in Charleston, SC with her two children, two dogs, and a rotating crew of foster pups. Born and raised in New Jersey, she headed west to San Diego after graduating from Saint Joseph’s University, before settling in the Lowcountry.
She enjoys being on the water, cheering on her kids from the sidelines, and volunteering at Berkeley Animal Center. She’s passionate about mentoring emerging marketing leaders and encouraging others to step into work that sparks meaningful impact.

Ashlie Malone is a seasoned business professional and entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry. Most recently Ashlie served as the Practice Administrator of a busy ophthalmic surgical group which she launched with the owners in 2008 and developed into a large surgical group spanning a tri-county region outside of Charleston, South Carolina.
In addition to her administrative expertise, Ashlie is an active member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA) as well as the South Carolina Bar Association. Ashlie previously served as the President of the National Board for the Certification of Ophthalmic Executives (NBCOE), is a frequent contributor to Administrative EyeCare Magazine, and works closely with practices as both a consultant and mentor with a special focus on practice management, workflow, and recovering profitability. Her entrepreneurial spirit has supported the launch and development of several personal ventures as well, including the Practice Management Insights podcast and Phone COA, LLC, which provides prescreening and preloading services to busy ophthalmic practices to decompress staffing shortages and expedite patient work up times.
Most importantly, Ashlie serves as the mother of three boys and enjoys developing new projects, travel and boating with her family.

Malissa was born in Charleston and grew up in Mount Pleasant. She went to high school at First Baptist downtown.
Malissa graduated from the College of Charleston in 1997 with a BS in Biology and went to MUSC for her Physician Assistant degree, graduating Cum Laude in 2000.
She has been in plastic surgery for the majority of her career and opened True Beauty Aesthetics in June 2022. Her vision is based on the quote, “A woman of true beauty offers others the grace to be, and the room to become,” from the book Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge.
Malissa has three sons. Seth is 14 and attends Lucy Beckham High School Twins Matthew and Samuel are 11 and attend Moultrie Middle School.
Malissa met her husband Scott bow hunting in Canada and together they love fishing, hunting, and being in the outdoors.

Kerri Rosen, CPCC, ACE is the founder of 7 Nightingales, a boutique career consulting and coaching firm. An avid, long-time entrepreneur, Kerri enjoys projects that turn people's passions into actionable initiatives and organizations. She is driven by her belief in the importance of improving even one person's life.
Having attended Wellesley College, she is now pursuing a Master's degree in Apologetics from Houston Christian University. She is a highly trained coaching professional and ran a high-tech software organization in her early years.
Kerri is a joyful world traveler and lives on Sullivan's Island with her 3 teens. She enjoys competitive ballroom dancing as part of her own story of passion.
